Lend A Helping Hand

We are living in a time where lending a helping hand could be the one thing that changes a person’s life. One small gesture can make all the difference to a person especially if one is going through hard times. We are living in a world that can seem chaotic at times. So with all of the world events transpiring helping others and sending that love and light back out into the world is the first step to help create a change all for the greater good.

Below is a list of charities that are near and dear to me and that hopefully will touch your heart as they did mine.

Ronald McDonald House

This charity is near and dear to me. Almost of year for the past few years I attend the Ronald McDonald House event at the Warner Brothers Ranch in Burbank, CA. I meet children that are apart of their support programs and I sign autographs and take pics and play with the kids. It’s a special event and I just had to share this companies info. I am also now a brand ambassador for a company called Endure Lash. Their end of the year proceed goes towards Ronald McDonald House Family Room and Kids and Cars. This is a company year round that could use anyones support.

Make A Wish Foundation

My first experience with Make a Wish was when I was on All That on Nickelodeon. While shooting season 3 in Paramount Studios in California we had a few Make a Wish children visit us on set. It was their wish to meet the cast of All That. I then spent the day with them and I even remember having one of the little girls come to my house after we got done shooting. That was a memory I will never forget I recently received a letter on social media from the little girl who visited our set and that hung out with me at my home. She is doing great and she is healthy and still going strong. This is a company year round that could use anyones support.

The American Cancer Society

This company is near and dear to me. My mother had cancer and anything related to this topic holds a true spot in my heart. At one point when I was on the TV show ONE WORLD which aired on TNBC I was a spokesman for The Cancer Society. This is a company year round that could use anyones support.

Relief Funds

With all the traffic events taking place with our world I had to mention UNICEF and their relief fund for Puerto Rico. Any relief fund like the Red Cross etc is a great one to go to. Even check your local relief funds. I even had a few friends doing their own relief funds. Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Maria, the list goes on and on and any little bit helps. My mother God rest her soul lived in PR in her early 20’s for 5 years so PR is a place that means a lot to me. I had the honor of visiting such a magical place. I pray and continue to send love and light to all of those affected by these tragic events.

(The below is quoted from UNICEF’S WEBSITE)

“Puerto Rico is in a state of crisis. In the wake of Hurricane Maria, mass flooding and destruction have put children throughout the island at risk.

The governor has warned that this is “the worst hurricane in a century,” and that rebuilding will be a tremendously difficult undertaking.

After mobilizing to get immediate critical support — Emergency Relief Kits — to the children of Puerto Rico, UNICEF is rushing shipments of fresh drinking water to families across the island.

UNICEF is a global leader in emergency response, last year reaching children in 344 humanitarian emergencies across 108 countries. We stand ready to provide aid before, during and after a crisis.

90% of every dollar spent goes directly to helping children!

Plus this is a company year round that could use anyones support.

At the end of the day it’s all about lending a helping hand. Even if that means just giving someone a smile. That smile could make that persons day. Whether its donating clothes or shoes or canned goods. Or even helping spread the word or helping out a local shelter or church or social center. Create that sacred place for you and your family and friends and community where we can all be one.

I send you all so much love and light.

Blessings….

Yours Truly,

Alisa
